The Jewel Thief

Jubilee Jones returned to her home town of Bowral to face an uncertain future.

Alone with her thoughts, she decided to do some gardening.

While digging up some neglected rose bushes in her garden, Jubilee inadvertently digs up an old biscuit tin. Expecting to find animal bones inside, she instead finds twenty-four pieces of opulent jewellery. Jubilee knows she cannot keep them, but something compels her to discover who buried them and why. With the help of her cousin Meg, they set out on an adventure to uncover the truth.

On their arrival in England, Jubilee and Meg peel away layers of the past as they trace the descendants of the five families robbed in 1939.

But sometimes the past should be left buried. As the story of the stolen jewellery spreads, old sins are brought back to the surface.

Will Jubilee and Meg solve the mystery surrounding her forgotten biscuit tin or will its secrets stay buried in the past?
