Geraldine Locke owns a small boutique hotel on the island of St Marys. She believed her life to be idyllic until one morning she received a phone call from her mother. 

Geraldine heads to the mainland to confront her mother. On her return, she knows her life will never be the same again. How will her family react to her news? On a stormy weekend, Geraldine gathers her family together on St Marys to reveal why she’s been so secretive. But before they can react to her news, tragedy strikes. Geraldine’s mother, Theresa Cook is found barely alive in the boathouse. Was it an accident or something more sinister? 

By morning, another body is found in the same boathouse.
